A computer-aided method for time-efficient optimization of the building’s life cycle environmental impact
Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is recognized as adequate method to quantify the environmental impact of a building, but is rarely applied in practice. This thesis proposes a parametric method to facilitate the application of LCA within the crucial early design stages. The parametric computer-aided approach allows for time-efficient generation and comparison of multiple variants which serves as basis for optimizing the design towards minimal environmental impact.
